Hello,
We are using standard Realignment process in DP.
I am getting an issue. Suppose i put copy factor as 50% for new product & execute the transaction.
IN SDP94 the new product is not equal to 50% of the old product but may be 55 or 56 %.
I have checked many cases for different % but the results that i get in SDP94 are incorrect.
Request to suggest the probable reasons for this behaviour.
regards,
Mohit
Maybe it's caused by rounding effect.
For example, you have 3 CVCs for the old product which have values as 5,7,9, whose total is 21.
Now you realignment them to 3 new CVCs for the new product with factor 50%, then they'll have value 3, 4, 5, whose total is 12. So now you have 12/21 = 0.57, which is not the expected 0.50.

Hello Mohit,
Good question!!!!!
When we do realignment for a new product using an existing one and we do not often get exactly results exactly as per the % maintained.
It will always be some where +/- some values.
Reason even I am not sure.

Anurag
