SAP JVM 4.1 switch in Solution Manager 7.1

Former Member

We recently upgraded our solman from 7.0 to 7.1

After the upgrade we used JVM switch tool to switch IBM JVM to SAP JVM 4.1. The switch tool completed successfully.

We see the new path in the config tool.

But when we go to ../sap/monitoring/SystemInfo in our solman 7.1 system it still shows the old IBM JVM.

Is this a bug? or do we need to change any where else?

Thanks

Senthil

Hi,

Can you please check what is the profile parameter for jstartup/vmhome??

As well as please check what is the value set in config tool.

Thanks and Regards,

Just checking: have you restarted the instance after changing to SAP JVM 4.1?

If you have, see chapter 6.3 of the SAP JVM Switch Tool documentation which you can find under http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP JVM Switch Tool. After importing the profiles, restart your instance.

ya! we have restarted several times.

START_DVEBMGS00_hostname:SAPJVM_VERSION = 4.1.024

the start profile has the above entries, we verified. Still system Info shows IBM as vendor.

Any idea?

What about the instance profile? Check also the server node specific JVM path in Config Tool, not just the Global Server entry. If they all are pointing to the right JVM, then maybe check also environment variables and the instance.properties for the server node.

What OS are you using?
