Availibility check in MTO scenario

Hi All,

In MTO scenario, the sales order t/f requirments to production to produce goods.

1) Do we need to have an availability check in sales order for MTO scenario. if yes, why. I think we should switch off availability check since the goods are produced for that sales order only.

2) Also when we create a delivery for MTO, why we would need to enable availability check in delivery ?

3)  When is schedule line  confirmed in a sales order for MTO scenario ?

    As i think, it is not neccessary for MTO.

You should not need an ATP check.

The production order that is created as a result of the sales order should provide the confirmation, so there is no need for an ATP check.

this is depending on  requirement , normally  order level availability check  is deactivate , when activate system show the next  required date only,

availability check at delivery level its check the availability , this is mandatory is MTO scenario

3) When is schedule line  confirmed in a sales order for MTO scenario

with out atp conformed quantity date comes  to day date only
