Apache Tomcat - Business Objects User Link

Hello Everybody ,

we made installing Business Objects  4.0 and installed Tomcat 6.0 in such web server.Before When we used Bo 3.1 , using ISS , and Bo users enter Business Objects as writing only BO not server IP adress  on the internet explorer.We know how creating shortcut link ( for example BO ) in 3.1 Bo server IIS. But I dont know how creating shortcut , in the tomcat . ( for example BO , BusinessObjects , )

We use activedirectory structure.

It is not clear what you are looking for. Could you please share steps or screen shot of how you created short cut on 3.1 with IIS so that every one can understand and can give you the steps to do the same on 4.0 with Tomcat?

I created shortcut redirect URLs on 3.1 with IIS but same method I cant on 4.0 with Tomcat.I cant create redirecr URLs to connect BusinessObjects on web browser without writing server ip adress 192.168.3.50:808/BOE/BI like

Hi,

KB provided by Henry will serve your requirement. But you need to type http://<tomcat host>:8080 inorder to redirect to http://<Tomcat host>:8080/BOE/BI

If you dont want to give port number i.e if you would like to enter http://<tomcat host>, then you need to change the tomcat port from 8080 to 80.

In order to that first confirm that port 80 is free on tomcat server then go to server.xml file which is under /<installation direc>/tomcat6/conf

then change connecter port from 8080 to 80
