Hi

I am installing application server for ECC  6.0 on windows Server 2008. and our database is DB2.

Installation get fails in phase "Start Dialog Instance".

I am new to DB2. we are using DB2 CLI fix pack 5. according the link you have given, there are some bugs in fix pack 5. we have already installed fix pack 5. so how can downgrade the fix pack 5 to 4.

Could you set the following parameter.

db2set DB2COMM=TCPIP

Post this you need to restart database.

Hi Pradeep,

1) From your application server which is being installed, could you test the output of R3trans -d.

   Paste the trans.log.

2) Ensure that you have the latest kernel applied on app server which is being installed

3) Ensure that services file is maintained with all the relevant ports. You may copy it from DB server.

4) Share the output of command db2set all from the DB server.

Hi Pradeep,

To downgrade the db2 cli fixpack, you need to apply the older fixpack level and it will replace the existing one.

For details on applying fixpacks for  db2 v9.7 refer to the below note.

Can you check in Services,,,any DB2 service is not satrted,change all services related to DB2 as automatic from manual

Can you please make sure that the kernel level in your CI and DB are same as well as the other exes too?
