Dear Experts,
I am trying to get the all the data colllection data and NCs for a SFC using standard WebServices..I have checked in the webservice guide "SfcService" and found a method for getting the sfc basic data. is there any other way of doing it except database query.
Regards,
Eswaraiah.
Hello Eswaraiah,
I think there must be some PAPI methods for that. Please also check DataCollectionServiceWS. Though I have not tried it yet.

Alex.

Dear Aleax,
Thanks for the reply.
I am not using ME SDK. my scenario is that I have developed a UI which is already hosted on different application server. I need to display all the data collection details(similar to DataCollection Result maintenance) for a SFC on UI using standard webservices. But I clould not find any "DataCollectionService" in Webservice Guide for ME 6.0 doc.I tried with SfcService as well but no luck..Is there any way that I could achieve this.
Regards
Eshwar
Eshwar,
There is no standard WS for this. So, you can only create a new WS by means of SAP ME SDK.
As an alternative way, you can use DataXChange (though it is an old feature left in ME 5.2 and 6.0 for backward compatibility) to retrieve data from PARAMETRIC* tables - see details in the guide.

Dear Sergiy,
thanks for the reply..
I tried to use DataXChange however the guide is saying send the xml rerquest and get the records of WIP objects like SFC,ITEM..etc. but if I want to put some condition in request xml similar to Join condition in DB. how can I perform this..Please provide me some more details about this DataXChange feature.
Regards,
Eshwar.
Hi Eshwar,
I do not think that joins are supported because DX request is an analog to SELECT FROM table WHERE field1 = 'value1' and field2 = 'value2' ...
It can return data of a parent object along with its child objects (like User Group and all its Users assigned) but nothing more complex.

Sergiy
Hi Sergiy,
Thanks for immediate reply.
I am using ME 6.0 .And when I try to login to XChange JSP to send a XML Request as below I am getting "404 Error". I dont know where to start to use DataXChange. please guide me here.
Regards,
Eshwar.
Eshwar,
You cannot logon to that JSP but rather you are expected to send your XML message to that link. Your URL is missing "message" parameter after login, passowrd and site parameters. In that parameter you can insert the XML message itself.
You can use Xchange.bat script from SAP ME Clients for this purpose.

Sergiy
