Smartform Language Translation Issue - JA, RU, PL & CZ

Hi Experts,

I have requirements to have Employee's Compensation Review Statement (CRS) to be displayed on Portal & Back-end Report. The Manager can able to select the employee and he can able to view the Employee's CRS. And Back-end Report can be executed using LDB and based on the selection of employee's , user can download the CRS to their desktop. The function module Convert_OTF is used to fetch the internal table data from Smartform and "GUI_Download" function module is used to download the file to Desktop. In portal component the OTF data is converted into PDF using Convert_OTF function module. The  Bin File data to Webdynpro Component and New window will be open in Portal to display the CRS.

Implemented this for 8 Languages, and 4 Language has issue of Junk Characters (Double Byte), Japanese, Russian, Polish & Czech. Rest of the translations were working fine. I am using the Smartstyle Font "TIMES" for the all the Text in the Smartform Layout. The problem is occurring only for this Languages. Please advice how to resolve this issue. The Smartform "output_options - TDPRINTER" is passed as "SWINCF".  Awaiting for your responses.  Thanks.

Hi Experts,

This issue is fixed by Installing the Adobe Reader X Font Pack in desktop and adding the Font Family into SAP.  Thanks.

Hi,

Check also the parameter OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDDEST. If this contains an output device that is defined with a different device tyope than SWINCF, this could also be used?

Also, for the PDF conversion with the languages Russian, Polish & Czech, it is necessary to upload true type fonts to the backend SAP system via report RSTXPDF2UC(see SAP note 999712).
