Enhancing Web Dynpro View

Hi,

To do enhancement in a View, i have two options:

1. Open the View Editor in se80, and click on enhance button on the top and create an enhancement
   In this case the complete layout of view which is getting enhanced remains intact and i can remove some UI element.
2. Right click on Views node in the explorer and choose option "Create as enhancement".
   In this a empty view appears.

What is the difference between these two options ? When to use which one ?

Hi,

First Option:

To enhance the existing view ( adding or removing UI elements)

Second Option:

To create a new View in the Standard Web Dynpro Component.

Lets take a simple scenario.

In the standard Web Dynpro Component, I have a Employee View.

Now I have to add a button 'Details' in the Employee view and On click on details button I have to navigate to other view to show details of employee.

So ,

To add Details button I use first option ( Enhance Employee View )

To show details, I need to create new view (details view), For this I have to use second option.

If i understand your query, I think this is what you are looking for, Isn't it.? Or some other scenario apart from my understanding..?
