No item category available Table T184 RAS DIEN R101 IRRS

Hi

Please maintain item categories in VOV4 like this.

Sales Doc. Type         RAS

Item Cat. Grp.             DIEN

Item Usage                 R101

ItemCat-HgLvItm        IRRA

Item Category            IRRE

Please maintain this and check.

Thanks

Hi Ashutosh,

From the error that you have mentioned, i am sure that the assignment to determine item category is NOT maintained properly.

Please check and confirm.

Thanks

Ashutosh,

No item category available Table T184 RAS DIEN R101 IRRS

i have checked the entries in table T184, the assignment to determine item category is maintained properly but still this error is appearing

Please recheck the assignment you have done in VOV4; compared to data you are using in creation of sales order.

- What is the sales document type?

- What is the item category group - take the MMR you are using in the sales order, go to MM03, and check the item category group, in Sales: Sales org Data 2

- Field usage should be blank - in VOV4

- Field higher item category should be blank - in VOV4

After checking in VOV4, then create a new sales order in VA01.

What is the sales document type?  -- RAS

- What is the item category group - take the MMR you are using in the sales order, go to MM03, and check the item category group, in Sales: Sales org Data 2 --- DIEN

- Field usage should be blank - in VOV4 -- IT IS BLANK

- Field higher item category should be blank - in VOV4 --- IT IS BLANK

i have created service contract type WV and now i am trying to create sales order with reference to it ( not returns order) , i am trying to bill service provided to customer .

and for item category determination i have given assignment , DOC type RAS, ITEM CATEGORY GROUP - DIEN, proposed item category IRRS

but while creating order this error is coming.

Maintain " Higher Level Item Category as " IRRS " and remove from Proposed Item Category place .

Ashutosh,

Could you please explain what you are doing exactly?

You say you are doing returns repair, then why are you referencing the contract?

In my opinion, the flow should be as follows:

Contract > Order > Return order
