Hi Garima,
1. Start the Backup Wizard.
2. If you have not yet created a backup medium, do this now. Proceed as described in Creating a Single Backup Medium. Select a backup medium in the window Media for Backup.
3. Check the information, and change it, if necessary (see Changing Backup Media).
4. You can activate or deactivate automatic log backups, depending on the status of your system. Once you activate automatic log backups for your system, this setting remains active until you deactivate automatic log backups again. Automatic log backups also remain active when you restart the database instance.
If you have created backup media, you can also use the Instance menu to activate (Set Auto Log ON) or deactivate (Set Auto Log OFF) automatic log backups.

Hi Garima,
Please install DBMGUI to acess your MaxDB database and perform DB related activities. It is easy to use. Even if you are not a MaxdB person but have some knowledge on database you can use it.
Backup Wizard is also part of DBMGUI only.
For more information on MaxDB database backup using DBMGUI, please check the link below.
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/MaxDB/SAP+MaxDB+HowTo
You can get the setup in Presentation DVD under MAxDB folder.

Hello Deepak Kori,
please dont't copy the documents from MAXDB library, just give reference to the link, were you find information.
For example, "Activating and Deactivating the Automatic Log Backup" =>
link: http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/htmhelp/30/5ada20596211d4aa83006094b92fad/content.htm
And if MAXDB user has higher version, then he will check the MAXDB library for the corresponding version on this topic/question.
Thank you & Regards, Natalia Khlopina
