F4 Help has to search in BE instead of SRM

Hello,

how can I adjust the F4 help for products in a way that it does not search in SRM but in the BE. Is there a customizing or a BADI for it?

My customer is not replicating the materials from his BE system into SRM and therefore he wants to have the F4 help for material/product search being adjusted in a way that it's searching in the BE.

To me it seems that the F4 help used is based on the shlp which is linked to the appropriated field in the CLL structure. I could use a shlp exit, e.g. /sapsrm/f4_exit_product_gen but this exit belongs to the standard F4 help for products (/sapsrm/bbph_product).

When are the driver functions like B31I_SHLP_CALL, B470_SHLP_CALL alled? What are the requirements?

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Thomas,

there is no Badi for such a solution. You will have to do it by searchhelp enhancement.

SRM Standard expects all the materials to be replicated so you will not find any standard functionalities for it.
