Dear gurus,
We had a posting done for a capital goods using J1IH additional excise for RG23C register. The user accidently posted a documents and the RG23C registers got updated with values. Is there any way by which this posting can be reversed. There are no accounting documents for the same hence cannot reverse the entry.
When I try cancelling the document using J1IS i am getting an "error of updating table j_1iexchdr"
Please suggest what needs to be done so that either this document can be reversed or cancelled or deleted. There is no part 1 entry for the same only part 2 has been updated.
Please help
Can you pls check IMG settings for reversal movement type as per note 1317642.

HI,
I am sorry but why do I need to check the reversal mvt type setting with this. In my case the user used additional excise in J1IH and used the migo document to give the excise duties and at the last step cancelled the process. During this the document got posted without any accountng docs. Because of this there is an entry in RG23C register which need not be there.
To counter this I belive I can use J1IH (MRDY to counter DIEX)
Do you think that would be a better option to balance its effects
Hi,
In that case you need to post offsetting entry using Other Adjustment in J1IH.This will nullify original entry.

Hi,
Pls note that a JV cannot be canceled.
For J1IH> Additional Excise you can post an opposing entry by doing
J1IH>Other Adjustment.
