Attachment Download - Read Only

Dear Experts,

I am having attachment upload & download option in my WDA application , my scenario is i should not allow the user the download any of the uploaded documents , user should have the access to only view the document.

Possible document types to be uploaded : PDF , MS - Word , MS - Excel.

Kindly share your ideas & points.

Hi Gowtham,

Instead of using Download UI element, try using "link to action" UI element and write the logic for that action... because download UI element is used for downloading files etc.

Thanks for your quick reply , if i use link to action method for the files like PDF & Word is opening by their own launchers ( like Adobe reader & MS-word ) ,

so there i am getting save option.

Hi Gowtham,

                  If the document type is PDF , then use interactive form to open the pdf and make it as read only in the property.
