Security Policy field in SRM 702

Hi,

We upgraded from SRM Server 550 to SRM Server 702.

In TCode SU01 I noticed there's a new field called "Security Policy".

Can you tell me, what this field is for ?

Regards,

Rami KLEIMAN

Hi,

IMO it's a really nice feature. The recent blog here describes how to use them.

Thank you, Martin, for the answer.

It seems not very helpful feature, since the Basis team can customize most of these features.

Hi Rami,

Surely whether the feature is helpful or not depends on what you are looking for.  I can think of some good uses for this functionality (e.g. increased level of security complexity for powerful accounts).

Hi,

I think you missed the main point. With this feature you can have different values assigned to different users. As Alex said a good example is hardening password requirements for power users. E.g. normal user must change password every 3 months but power user must change it every month. This is not possible in older releases.

Perhaps it was just a typo? Rami also missed the F1 key on the field right at the beginning of this question..  🙂

Cheers,

Julius
