How to migrate a SAML (WS Adapter) scenario from PI7.11 to PI7.31

Dear Experts,

We are currently evaluating PI7.31 system for our landscape and the only possible scenario where we see a major impact is on our SAML service scenarios in PI7.11 box.

Request you all to please suggest the best way of getting this enabled in PI7.31?

Please also suggest/share more information as to how SSO based scenarios can be configured through SOAP adapter in PI7.31 or there is a different way of doing this.

In our service scenario, the user needs to propagate (source - Application  to target - SAP CRM) as well as the system token.

Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards,

Anshul

WS adapter will not be available in 7.31.  So you have to go for some custom java mapping to incorporate this. You might have to use Apache open source to do SAML authentication over there. This could be one approach.

Dear Baskar,

Thanks for suggesting a workaround. I will definitely explore more on this option.

Is there any other way, how I can implement a similar scenario in PI7.31 without opting for SAML?

Is the WS Adapter / SAML support really going away, or is it with Java only deployment (Single Stack option)?

Since WS adapter exist currently in  abap stack, this is not available in 7.31.  We hope that similar or equivalent adapter functionaliy might come in java stack in the near future.

You might want to try SOAP or SOAP Axis adapter in place of WS adapter if you don't care about SAML

Dear Baskar,

Could you please share more details/references as to how this can be configured using a SOAP adapter in 7.31 system.

Thanks & Warm Regards,

Yes Baskar, but if this was an important requirement, the customer can deploy dual stack which still has all the ABAP support, right?

Dear Experts,

Can any one provide more information as to how a similar scenario can be achieved through a SOAP adapter in PI 7.31 if we are not very particular on achieving it the SAML way?
