Dear Experts,
I would like to read and write "tags" (data) from a OPC DA server via SAP EWM.
I have not work with this kind of connection before.
I am analyzing the options below but before I start I would like you to advise me:
1) SAP ODA with "SAP ODA connector"
2) PCo(Plant Connectivity)
3) PCo(Plant Connectivity) with "SAP ODA connector"
4) Others
Which would be the best option?
Thank you in advance
Sincerely, Iban Ariz
Hello Iban.
I'm trying to configure an SAP ODA. But without success.
SAPODA already intalled on the same machine OPC SERVER.
In transaction SM59 , as I run the connectin test I get the error:
"DETAIL: TP 172.17.21.203.sapoda not registered"
You has success on your connection?

We would like to control a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) and its movements via EWM.
I am analyzing the different PCo agents: OPC DA and Socket
The first one(POC DA) requires an OPC server to connect the PLC.
The second(socket) one seems to be direct connection with PLC.
As shows the link figure

MII or EWM could be used and our requirement is to use EWM.
