I ran into the same issue and was able to resolve it by restarting my SAP HANA server.
Follow steps from http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28294 section
Overview of steps contained in the blog:.
Other way is to right click on your system and click stop or restart. Note at this point it will ask you for a user id and password. By default it is hdbadm password HANAabcd1234. After STOP click on start. Wait for some time and then re-fresh and check service. Now your service sapstartsrv should be active.

Manuel,
You can maintain the following entry
14.61.193.24 imdbhdb imdbhdb.domain.com
Replace domain with your network domain name or maintaining the same also works.
Refer Note 1780950 - Connection problems due to host name resolution
All connection issues including your case was discussed in the above note. Hope it helps.

Srinivas K.
Sorry for late reply.
If you are using SAP HANA Developer Edition use "imdbhdb" as "somenameSTD" in case if you are using SAP HANA one use "hanaserver hanaserver.compute-1.amazonaws.com"

Kumar
