We dit a Systemcopy from a 32 bit system to a 64 bit. The SID changed. My question now is. How can I check the SID Name in the new System?

Right now we got stuck at the step Starting instance. The Problem now is that the dist+work.exe is not getting a connection to the database.

PLEASE HELP

Hello,

I could see that the step to start TS1 database instance failed.

-> As SAP customer you could create the SAP message & get SAP support.

-> Post output of the following commands:

sdbregview -l

dbmcli db_enum

< from souirce & target DB servers >

From appl. server as < sid>adm user:

xuser list

Hi,

Thank you for your Fast reply. Since my last post I reinstalled the whole system. Sadly I got stuck at the same step.

Here are my results:

dbmcli db_enum      from the source system

E:\sapdb\programs\pgm>dbmcli db_enum

OK

SPE     E:\sapdb\SPE\db                         7.8.02.31       fast    running

SPE     E:\sapdb\SPE\db                         7.8.02.31       slow    offline

dbmcli db_enum      from the target system

E:\sapdb\programs\pgm>dbmcli db_enum

OK

TS1     E:\sapdb\TS1\db                         7.8.02.31       fast    running

TS1     E:\sapdb\TS1\db                         7.8.02.31       slow    offline

The Commands <xuser list> and <sdbregview -l > are not working on the target system.

I tried them on the source system and there are working fine.

E:\sapdb\programs\pgm>xuser list

'xuser' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

E:\sapdb\programs\pgm>sdbregview -l

'sdbregview' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

Could you tell me why this is ? Somthing is missing...

Hello,

Run "cd E:\sapdb\programs\bin" &

-> Post output of the following commands:

sdbregview -l

< from source & target DB servers >

From appl. server as < sid>adm user < SAP Note 39439 >:

xuser list

-> Did you login to application server as ts1adm user?

Run "set" & post output in thread.

Hello,

I solved the problem by reinstalling the software. It is a homogeneous system copy and I made the mystake not to treat it like a 1-1 copy.

Have a nice day!

Kind Regards

Andrei
