Hi, Direct Procurement is also known as plan driven procurement, so it is in contrast to operational or self service procurement where the orders are not established and driven by MRP or similar. Have you access help.sap.com to query all this information or the SRM page at service.sap.com/srm? Most of this information is freely available there.
Regards,
Jason
Hi Santosh,
Operational procurement in SRM is something relevant to professional buyers.
It includes the functionality like
1. Processing of Purchase orders (Change/creation of PO without having preceding SC)
2. Dealing with sourcing process,
Processing SC's via sourcing cockpit
Source identification via Bidding / Live auction
Processing of contracts (creation / change)
Supplier list (creation / Maintaining)
All above functionalities comes under Operational procurement.,

Govardhan
