Which syntax groups are needed in archiving?

Hello Experts,

I have successfully implemented the archiving on the PI system.

I just want to know that is it required to set the physical path for all the 3 syntax groups mentioned below?

AS/400

UNIX

WINDOWS NT

I have only given NFS path for UNIX and nothing for rest of them.

Can you please let me know on this?

Hello Rahul,

If your system contains servers from various syntax groups (for example, consisting of NT and UNIX servers), then every syntax group should be maintained. Make sure that the definitions for the different syntax groups point to the same directory.
