Hi,

Please perform the following activities for kernel upgrade.

You need to upgrade the kernels in the following location.

General

Stop all the SAP Services and DB Services.

If your OS is windows, ensure that DB and SAP Services are also stopped. if it OS like HPUX or Linux, try to check whether any SAP or DB processes are running. IF yes, kill it.

System 1 Where ASCS and DB is installed.

1. Take a backup of /sapmnt/SID/exe as well as /usr/sap/SID/ASCS*/exe folder

2.Uncar the kernel and overwrite it in the above exe location.

System 2 : Where CI is installed.

1. Take a backup of /usr/sap/SID/DV*/exe

2.uncar the kernel and overwrite the contents in /usr/sap/SID/DV*/exe

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL THESE THREE LOCATIONS SAP KERNEL PATCHES ARE EQUAL.

Please check and provide your feedback.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

You need to use 720 Kernel. Use the latest patch available.

Please see the note 1636252 - Installing a 7.20 kernel in SAP Web AS 7.00/7.01/7.10/7.11. for more information about the features of 720 kernel.

Please check and provide your feedback.
