I have a strange issue with ST05.
I’m trying to use it to trace some issues for a customer. I’ve tried tracing the user id, the ABAP program name, but whenever I stop the trace I get nothing back from trying to display the trace.
I have set the trace going in parallel on the CI and both of 2 app servers.
I have set the trace going in the business client that the jobs/users work in.
Any ideas as to possible issues with ST05 generating trace files?
See image showing I traced all options, ran with no filter and got the message “No SQL trace records available”.
I have used ST05 before many times, though it’s been a little while --- any ideas please?
ST12 a good alternative - this works for me for this customer. Still not sure why ST05 doesn't.

I can see activity yes - I'm running live transactions pulling DB information and refreshing.
I'm running trace on all app servers (3) for the system with same filter on each (my username).
No idea what was the problem but ST12 works fine and now I'm getting used to that instead I'd say it's the better transaction!
