WEBSAPCONSOLE + Win2003 + Apache

I have been trying to setup websapconsole under apache. I have tried IIS and we keep getting connection to r/3 broken at random times. Sometimes it works for 10 minutes sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes it will take us 3 times attempting a login before it lets us in etc...

I have enabled the isapi-handler .dll

as well as set options ExecCGI

But when I attempt to go to http://webserver/sap/isapi_sapcnsl.dll all it displays is the text. It does not appear to be executing. I am not too familiar with Apache, so any suggestions would be helpful

Hi Jay,

We are implementing WebSAPconsole on my current project. As far as I know, WebSAPconsole is not supported on Apache. IIS and SAP J2EE engine are the two choices with which I am familiar. We tried IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 but had performance problems (SAP Note 910901). We are now running J2EE engine 6.20 on Windows Server 2003 with great performance. IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 server should work fine also.

Just for your information: The performance issues mentioned in SAP note 910901 are resolved with the current SAP GUI 6.40 patch 24.
