It's pretty straight forward.
The system is looking for your maintained specifications in the batch record.
Do you see specifications for the characteristic's in the batch record when you use MSC2n and display the batch values?
If not why not? Was the material assigned to a class? Was the batch inspected? Were batch values recorded?
I usually find the case is that the batch record has never been classified to start with for some reason and that not only are specificaitons "missing" but batch values are missing too.
