Software Component defined in SLD can't be found in CMS

Former Member

Hi,

We are using netweaver2004s sp10. We defined a product and add some SCs to this product, then we go CMS configuration to define a track, in the software component for development, we choose "Add SC", a SC selection box appears, but there is no the SCs which we've defined in SLD, what's the problem?

There is a "Production State" selection like "planned, started, archived, etc.", but there is no much documents talking about this. So we don't know how to specify this, and we are not sure is this the reason of the problem.

Can anybody helps me out, thank you!

Best Regards,

Xiaoming Yang

I don't think that we need to add all the software components to the track.

Just add "SAP - INTREP" component for the repository objects and

"SAP - INTDIR" component for the directory objects and try transporting your software component through CMS, It should work...

If not and you want to add them to CMS track hit the refresh button which will update the list

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi,

Under "Domain Data" (CMS - left beside "Track Data") you will find a button named "Update CMS". Hit this button, wait some minutes, then you will find the new SC.

And then under Required Software Components tab. Select Add component and then add the Software Component you created (in our case Application).

Select the software component required and then click on Add and then close

Hi Reddy,

Thank you for your replay, but i still don't understand.

You say:

And then under Required Software Components tab. Select Add component and then add the Software Component you created (in our case Application).

But our problem is we can't add the Software Component we created, because in the search box, we can't found the software component we created!!

We've successfully add an software component before, can we update from sp6 to sp10, and then created some other software components in SLD. Now we can still found the previously created SC, but can't found the SCs created after upgration.

Of course all these SCs are list in SLD, but some of them can't found in CMS software component selection search box. What's the problem??

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hi Xiaoming,

we have the same problem. If you have already found a solution, could you please tell us, how to do, since we urgently have to get this issue solved.

Thanks and regards

...we have solved our problem in the SLD. I delete our CMS-server in the SLD and recreate a same CMS (a new one with same properties). Now, the CMS shows our created software components we create in the SLD.

I think, the template-installer does not work in the correct way and cause the problem.
