Hi

Im going to install SAP Netweaver 7.0 enhancement package 1 using SAP MAxDb for development purposes.

It will have usage types AS ABAP, ABAP BI, AS JAVA, BI JAVA, EPC, EP.

Question is can I install SAP MaxDb on the AS host.

And, does the database have to installed first before the SAP installation or is it one process with the SAP installation disks.

Hi Abu,

Yes you can install MaxDB on the AS host. Also Database software will be installed and database instance will be created during the sapinst installation process. You just need to provide path of MaxDB RDBMS DVD path.

In case you need to apply latest database patches then it has to be done manually using SDBUPDATE utility.
