Need to find LABEL.ASC for migration export for JAVA AS server

Dear Experts,

I am looking to install SAP JAVA AS server. In defining parameter steps I defined all the parameters as correct.

But I got struck in Migration Export part.

I can't find LABEL.ASC for JAVA AS server at migration export part. I am giving all the folders as mentioned as follows.

Please let me know which folder i want to choose.

And also tell me which is Java dump (JDMP) and Java Migration (JMIG) folders among these....

Hi ,

   Please confirm whether you are using export import method or  are you doing plain installation.

From the first screenshot, I  see that you are trying to do system copy method. If you are using this method, then you will need to have export of the source system.

If you do an export, you will see the following files inside your  java export location

drwxrwxr-x 7 sidadmsapsys   96 2012-08-27 07:09 DB

drwxrwxr-x 2 sidadmsapsys 2048 2012-08-27 19:37 JDMP =Inside you can see label.asc file that contains the SAP:MIGJDMP:730:MIGRATION:*:*

-rw-rw-r-- 1 sidadmsapsys   19 2012-08-27 07:08 LABEL.ASC   => contains the SAP:JMIG:730:*:*:*

-rw-rw-r-- 1 sidadmsapsys    5 2012-08-27 07:08 LABELIDX.ASC

drwxrwxr-x 2 sidadmsapsys   96 2012-08-27 07:09 SEC

-rw-rw-r-- 1 sidadmsapsys  151 2012-08-27 07:07 SOURCE.PROPERTIES

drwxrwxr-x 2 sidadmsapsys   96 2012-08-27 07:10 TOOLS

See the attached picture for your reference.

So please take an export of the system and import it.

Hi Janaraja,

Are you trying to install a new Java AS or using a system copy method to install Java AS?

From the screenshot it seems you are trying to install a Java AS from system copy method and sapinst tool is expecting the path of system export of source system.

If you are trying to install a fresh new system.Then you have selected wrong option in SAPINST tool.

Hi,

Please open the sapinst ->  Enhancment Package 4 for ERP 6.0 ->  SAP APplication  Server JAVA -> Central System

Hi Janaraja,

Installation steps depends on your type of system set up you want to build.

If your CI and DB are on a different hosts then you need to select Distributed type of installation. If both CI and DB are on same host, select Central system.

It seems that you are using the wrong installation master. Please download the following DVD's and try to install your package.

Please let us know the Operating system and DB you want to use

I will try to check and give you the DVD's number.

Hi Vimal,

I want to install in Windows 2003 server with Oracle DB(10g). Using this installation master only I installed ABAP Application server. But at present I need Application server with JAVA stack. Please let me know the DVD numbers.

You find the software and related information under the following link in the SAP Service Marketplace:

service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Application Components -> SAP ERP -> SAP ERP Enhance Package -> EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0/ NW7.01

In the DVD you used for  ABAP installation , you can also see the options for JAVA Installation. Use that option to download it.
