Good Afternoon:
We are running over a Teradata DataBase and reporting with BO XI R2. While trying to get an object in a report not all the context the object is in appear in the poll-down menu to be chosen.
Any idea?
Thank you very much
Hi,
Most of us are running XI3.1 or BI4.0 .. might be difficult to comment..
Is this a problem from DeskI ?
What's the problem, incompatible objects?
If you create a new context, can you see that one OK?
You might want to check Note 1349476 - Unable to see context when running a Web
intelligence query using Interactive mode - for some suggestions.
regards .

Neoris,
You Universe Context is defined properly. If you Universe is designed properly and you ask a proper business question you should NOT be prompted for context.

Hello, Ajay:
We have a context per fact table and when we try to make a report with a dimensional object it should ask for the context we want to use due to we do not include an indicator from a fact table into it.
The problem is that NOT all the context designed (one per fact table and the dimensional table where we take the object from is relationated with every fact table) are shown in the combo box showing the possible context.
Do you know why it is happening?
Thank you very much,
Neoris
Neoris,
If you have 25+ context and the Dimension objects is part of all the context and you have NOT selected any other objects in results or filter panel. Then ALL the context choices should pop-up.
Double-check:
- Make sure the Dimension table is part of all you context paths
- Make sure to NOT select any other Object in results &/or Filter panel.
- Also do NOT select any measures
Regards,
Ajay
