Hi,
Is the outer frame for the entire window? In that case, the window (might be secondary window in your case) has to be bordered with lines. You could select the checkbox 'Lines With' in the window for the outer frame. The other option for the outer frame would be to select "Outer Frame" option for the template. Inside the template you could adjust the spacing with the help of rows and columns. The cell containing variable can be bordered by 'Outer frame' option. If you are new to using templates, you could probably read sap help for more information.
Thanks!

Kumud

Hi Shree,
Under ur window say (W1) , right click and create a template. Now double click on the template and divide %C1 into 3 coloumn ( say R1,R2,R3) . Now add two text elemnts under the template as follows .Double click on the first text elemnt.Click the tab - Output option. Then under output structure add values for line = 1 , column = 1.
Similarly for the 2nd text elemnt do the same and add the values line = 1 , column = 3.
Doing this adds text under R1,R3 .
Under R2 do not add any text elements, that is just to add space between the two variables as per ur picture.U can also alter the size of R2 to increase/decrease the space between the two variables.
Pls award points if helpful.

Faiz

hello,
Boxes command won't work in Smartforms so do not use that.
A simple way is create a new output node and then use the box shading property of it. See link below-
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/8a/bf2d5024dc11d5b68a006094192fe3/content.htm
The main window which is the outside box will be a window and you cna set it's property also for borders.

Hi Shree,
You can use table or template to draw a box in smartform.
You must remember to use shading for the table template.
Hope this helps
