Screen Variant Help

Dear SAP Experts,

I am trying to create a transaction variant on vl02n where in there is a business requirement to hide the option of adding/deleting items at the time of doing Post Goods Issue.

When I am trying to save the recording in a Z-package or as a local package/test package I am getting the following message "

SAP object SCVI <ZVL02N> cannot be assigned to package ZPS"

Message no. TO142

Diagnosis

Object SCVI <ZVL02N> is in the name range reserved for SAP. The object cannot be assigned to package ZPS, since it belongs to a different name range or namespace.

System Response

Editing is terminated.

Procedure

Assign the object to an SAP package whose name begins with A-S or U-X.

If you want to create the object as a test object, you can also assign it to a local package (1st character = $) or a test package (1st character = T).

I am also attaching the screen shot of the error(in the attached file) that I m experiencing in this regard. Please let me know what could be the possible solution to overcome this.

I also had the same issue, but I realized that you should name your screen variant starting with a Z* at the beginning.
