translation in WebDynproAbap

HI everybody

I found a way to translate buttons in alv but it seems to be quite difficult

if you already know a more simple way to do the same.

please write me about it.

Hi Eliahu,

We can maintain text in OTR(Online text repository) for every word we want to translate. The procedure can be followed as follows.

Step I]

First goto transaction SOTR_EDIT and create text in English language in particular domain. e.g. If you want to maintain text for 'Vendor' then select

language = English;

text = vendor ;short text

Choose OTR in object type selection.

In object name now search for your concept ID. e.g. ztry*

Search for your concept ID, once it is selected change the language by clicking button 'Source/Target lang'. Source language should be english and target lanuage can be selected from the given options. Now click on Edit. Put the translated text below english text. e.g Put Verkäufer for Vendor.( In case of german translation.)

Now save the text.

Step III]

Now go back to your web dynpro application. Goto text property of that particular UI element and enter $OTR:ZTRY/VENDOR or else select from text selection in text property.

Now based on your login language corresponding translated text willl be displayed.

it stills doesn't answer how you translate the buttons in the SALV_WD_TABLE

like 'check' 'filters' on so on...
