Order confirmation output

Hi,

Sorry for possibly being quite basic with this question but after 15 years around SAP one can still have "eyes wide shut".

Is there any SD transaction equivalent to MM's transaction ME9F?

In the latter I can review all messages ready for output before actually sending them to vendors. However I have found nothing similar in SD.

In VA01 I can to either:

1. set up dispatch time 4 - the output goes out immedialtely upon sales order saving in VA01, or

2. set up dispatch time 1 - the output goes out immediately when I execute RSNAST00 program in transaction SE38.

In neither of those two cases can I preview or display cutomer order for the final check before sending the confirmation.

A little bit weird when I think about a user who, let's say, must immediately go to the toilet while creating a cutomer order.

Any hint?

Hi

See SAP Note 960611 - FAQ: Output control in Sales and Distribution, question 2. There isn't a tcode, but there is a report: SD70AV1A.

I hope this helps you

Hi Eduardo,

Thanks for your reply.

It would be nice if SAP had created since so many years a dedicated transaction which uses this program  and included it in standard SAP menu.

Hello Andrzej

As per understanding, we don't any standard solution/transaction for your requirement.

Thus, for your requirement, you can have following thing in place:

1) Have status profile with relevant authorisation for relevant users configured & maintain for your sales order. Status profile can be based/include all the status, Where you need an authorisation confirmation. By this authorised perosn can review the document & set relevant user status for further processing

2) Further, have routine for output type's requirement in your output procedure. Where you can have logic in routine to trigger output type, only when particular status is achieved.

Hi JP,

Thank your for your reply.

This solution could also handle other requirements during customer order creation process.

I must think again before going for an additional program code.
