PI7.3 receiver file adapter module sequence in random order

We have just installed PI 7.3 and are in the phase of migrating from PI 7.0.

I have ran into a very strange behaviour in the receiver file adapter module sequence:

From time to time it seems to shuffle the order of the module calls in the module sequence so they are no longer in the correct order.

We uses Seeburger for EDI and therefore have a need for several modules in the adapters to be called in a specific order.

I have tried to search the forum for this problem but did not find anything.

(I tried to atttach a small png with a screenshot but the post tool will not allow it even though it states that .png is allowed !?)

Hello Bohn,

I have the same problem than you, when I activate the CC the modules order changes freely. And if I see the modules order in Cache Monitoring the module aren't in the same order than I saw in Integration Directory.

I tried to do a Full Cache Refrehs but I have the same problem yet. Do you have any idea to resolve issue?

Thanks&Regards

Hello Costa,

Sorry for the very late reply, I have been extreemely busy migrating from PI 7.0 to 7.3.

No unfortunately I have no idea how to resolve this, however it seems to be a known problem arround. I was recently at the Seeburger meeting in Copenhagen and several of the other PI integration specialists, including Seeburger themself, had heard about this and had experienced it. I made an OSS on it but SAP claims they cannot re-produce the error at their end. I think that you should also create an OSS. The more that does, the more SAP realize there is in fact a problem. As a workaround, I stoppe the CC before I do changes, then activate and check that the order is correct, then start the CC again but this is quite time consuming.

Hello Bohn,

Its quite interesting, because first field "Number" clearly specifies "the call sequence of the modules".

Refer below link..

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/5af7c0c994e24fb0d0088443513de2/content.htm

Try to ->Delete CC ->Activate ->Full cache refresh ->Recreate with your final expected entries ->Activate

Hope it helps.!

Hi,

Ideally the sequence of module calls will not change at runtime ....

May be cross check the previous version of the adapter for how it was earlier and how it is now ..

correct the sequence and activate the CC now and check..

I too faced this few times very annoying..

Hello Sunil,

Thanks for the link.

In our case it is not the logging that is random but the actual module processing sequence in the configuration.

So I defined it like this:

The after some changes not related to the module sequence after save and activation

it suddenly looked like this:

Later after some more save and activate:

So as you can se quite frustrating. It does not happens everytime of course but it is totally unpredictable.
