Problem when logging in to PI ESR and IBP

Hello-

When we try to click on Enterprise Service Repository and Integration Directory by going in the PI page we get this error:

http://hostname.FQDN.corp:50000/dir/start/index.jsp

Cannot connect to server using message server:
ms://hostname.FQDN.corp:8101/P4
See error log for details
Problem when initiating due to authentication

I have attached a screenshot of the error.

I already looked at note "1571274" and the below entries look correct:
1) Abap--> SMMS -> Goto -> Parameters -> Display -> ms/http_port has "8101"
2) In exchange profile we have hte same 8101 value for mshttport
com.sap.aii.connect.directory.mshttpport --->8101
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.mshttpport ---->blank

*These values are the same as in our QA environment where the functionality is working as expected.

Please help.

Hi,

Add your host name of PI along with ip address to the windows/system32/drivers/etc host file...

Hello Srini,

Seems that you missed adding host details in HOST file.

Add the FQDN to the IP address in the host file. Hope it helps.!

Also goto http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile/>Connections> & Match them with SMICM parameter values.

Hi Srini,

Do the following..

1. Exchange Profile of PI  - http://host:port/exchangeProfile

2. Check with the rmi port number.

3. if rmi port number is empty or any number is present ( check with  Tr code: SMICM - services - check for p4 port number - it will be ex: 5<nr>04)

4. fill the rmi port number as present in the P4.
