clustered webdispatchers

hello

we're consolidating all our webdispatchers and would like to build a clustered linux environment..is it feasable to use latest SLES 11 HA functionalities ? is such environment supported on a VMWare ESX 5 environment?

and..is there any documentation available / best practices ?

Hello Michele,

SAP supports only Microsoft Cluster environments. For that case, you could refer to the SAP note 834184.

This means that you need to involve your cluster support team to configure the Web Dispatcher to work at a UNIX/Linux cluster environment, and that SAP will only provide assistance for issues related to the Web Dispatcher itself. If the root cause of the issue is related to the cluster, or the issue is with the cluster solution itself, then you'll need to involve your cluster support team as well.
