Is it possible to turn off the read receipt be sent when message has been read .

Goto tcode SOST then option.

unmark the check box for Display waiting status notification(Read Confirmation, DSN ).

Hi Umar,

We dont have tic mark on both the options, as mentioned by you in the above screenshot, but still the read receipt is being sent to the user.

Could you send in an alternative.

Try SCOT -> Settings -> Confirmation of receipt -> SAP does not expect receipt confirmation for internet mail.
