ECC6-EHP6 IDES VERSION INSTALLATION ERROR(Run Abap reports phase)

Dear Experts,

1)Facing error while installation of ECC6-EHP6 in the phase of Run Abap reports. First time i am getting the following error(sapinst.log).

Executing function call SUSR_USER_CHANGE_PASSWORD_RFC.

FRF-00028  Function call raised a program-driven exception CHANGE_NOT_ALLOWED.

RFC connection closed

MUT-03025  Caught ERfcExcept in module call: CHANGE_NOT_ALLOWED.

At this time i am unable to log into the system with Master Password which i was given at the time of installation(Master Password is basis123$) but able to log into system with ddic password is 19920706 in 000 and 001 clients.After that i changed the password to new password and executed se37 tcode to run function module SUSR_USER_CHANGE_PASSWORD_RFC. Output of this function module is

Exception: CHANGE_NOT_ALLOWED and you can change your password only once a day.

Restarted SAP and Windows Server 2008 and again started sap installation(Continue with old installation option).

At this time i am getting the following error(SAPINST.LOG).

2)As a part of post installation activities i am unable to run SGEN. The application server is showing red color.Please find the below screenshot.

3) Run Abap Reports step(phase) has to be completed before to run SGEN. Why it was showing red color.

Note:  i am able to execute all tcodes successfully.

Environment: Windows server 2008 R2,  Oracle and SAP ECC6-EHP6

Please help me in all cases.

Hi,

Please ensure that the DDIC password of client 000 you entered is correct .

If the above is correct.

1.Check DDIC is locked

2.You can try to upgrade the kernel and check whether you are able to run the ABAP report.

Since the installation is not completed, the status of the server WILL be in red color . Try to complete the installation and try to start the SGEN.

Try to edit keydb.xml file and try to change the status of ERROR to OK and try to continue.

It will just skip the password check and will try to run the report.

Take a backup of the xml file before changing.

How to change the Status from ERROR to OK in Keydb.xml. Where is the exact place.

Hi Maruthi,

You need to open keydb.xml file. Search for "ERROR" and replace the same with "OK".

Save it and re-start the installation.

Dear Deepak Kori,  I Found that ERROR was happened so many times in the XML file. XML file location is:  "C:\profram Files\sapinst_instdir\ERPEHP6\AS-ABAP\ORA\CENTRAL.  Please suggest where exactly i have to change in xml file to smooth run of sap installation.

Hi Maruthi,

There should be only one ERROR status for which installation step has failed. Note that it is case sensitive while you perform the search. If possible you may attach the keydb.xml file for our preview.

Actually the size of keydb.xml file is 1.8MB ,however the allowable size for uploading a file is only

1.1MB .

Kindly suggest me how to upload this keydb.xml file .

Playing with keybd.xml is a dirty workaround and not a solution at all !

I'm sure there must have been a cleaner solution to that problem.

Maybe resetting the password update history (it's possible but I wont tell this here...)

It's a bit too late too know... but please stop using that thread as a reference !
