Managed system configuration error

Dear Experts,

Pls find the attachment for your reference...

On managed system configuration step4:assign diagonists agent shows error.

I checked for SMD agent but no agent is found...

user SM_EXTERN_WS locked ..i relaesed too....

Then also i cant able to find any agents...

please find the o/p of TXCODE sso2 it displays as

Hi Gopal,

Goto the below directory

Execute the script in /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/script

smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"give the solman hostname" port:"50004" user:"solman_admin" pwd:"password of solman admin" servername:"managed system hostname"

With this command you will not be able to see the agents in SLD Agent Candidate.

To register with SLD

smdsetup.sh sldreg syntax though sap not recommend this.

execute it.

Now Restart the Diagnostic agent with daaadm user.

command for the same is

Execute the script in /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/exe directory andexecute the below command

stopsap SMDA<instanceid> this will stop the smd agent

startsap SMDA<insatnceid>  this will start the smd agent

In this folder  /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/script i can find only one smdsetup.sh.

I edited that but i cannot able to see that line.....

can you please tell me what to do at now state.....

Now  Logon with daaadm user and run the below command

smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"give the solman hostname" port:"50004" user:"solman_admin" pwd:"password of solman admin" servername:"managed system hostname"

Okay!

So now your agent should be visible...

Not in SLD view, but you should be able to connect to it.

If you want it available in SLD View as well execute the following command:

./smdsetup.sh sldconf hostname:"solman.ksidc.org" port:"50000" user:"solman_admin" pwd:"system1"

Now restart the diagnostic agent

you need to connect your smd agent to SCS P4 port (usually 8104).

Execute the script in /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/script

Next check the log SMDSystem.*.log

Here you should see it connect

Don't forget to set the parameters

Most likely the syntax should look like this:

./smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"your.fullhostname" port:"8104" user:"user" pwd:"password"

Were to set my parameters as i can able to login http://hostname.8000/smd

But whether i want to set parameters on dev system too

login/accept_sso2_ticket=0

pls find the screen displayed on SOLMAN_SETUP

With parameters I mean the options in the script....

Take the syntax I provided, change the variables (so enter your fqdn, user and password on the right places and execute the script
