Trigger interface on mapping errors or data insufficiency errors

I wanted to know if PI can trigger interfaces on mappings errors or data insufficiency errors.

Hi,

Configure Alerts and pass the alert to Mail box

Configure another scenario which can be Mail - your Interface...

I am assuming you meant 'Trigger an alert in case of mapping/data errors'.

Yes, that can be done. You can write a UDF which will throw a runtime exception when a certain condition is not met (  Payload validation like number of records in file not matching number in footer etc..)

This will cause the message to be error in SXMB_MONI and the same can be linked to an alert category and hence trigger an email via the alert configuration.

We dont want to use alerts. We want an interface to be triggered.

Hi,

One option could be to catch mapping errors in BPM and trigger error interface (to create error file or something) in exception branch.
