You can't simply click on a reset button now, too many changes has been done.

Any particular reason for the reset?...

You'll need to do a DB restore and a full cleanup of the shadow instance services.

As far as I know you can't once an upgrade starts is meant to be finished... thats why im asking if you have any particular reason to "reset" the upgrade.

Hello Ashwani,

Juan is rite, you can's reset upgrade during MAIN phase. The only way is to restore the database backup and restart the upgrade or if you have backup of database & SUM folder during middle of the phase you can try that too. However, What error you are facing to reset the upgrade ?

Thanks,
Arjun

Hi Ashwani,

Please find the SAP Note Note 417670 for Resetting the upgrade.

Request you to please go through the SAP Note and follow all the steps which is useful as per your release.

Well, ACT_UPG is on the preprocessing phase so in theory your system should be still available as you have not reached the downtime/execution phase.

My best piece of advice in the case you have to "reset" the upgrade and you want a clean start is to restore the DB and cleanup the previous attempt (if possible)

Hi Juan,

Thanks for the reply and support!

I have DB backup of before start the upgradation, but My one process chain extract the Data fromECC to  BI, So taht i have no chance to restore the DB for Upgrade shadow cleanup.

If i reset the upgrade at this point as per you shadow system not clean, i need to restore the DB  for shadow cleanup!

Any other option to reset the hole upgrade automatically.

Ashwani
