Service order in SRM - Classic Scenario

Former Member

Hi All,

I am able to create a flat shopping cart with service masters , but the PO fails in ECC.

For e.g. below 2 items :

Line item 1 - Service master 1

Line item 2 - Service Master 2

ECC EHP 5 doesn't allow creating a PO in this manner.

There has to be a top level item & all services should go under services tab.

So is the above method a valid one for creating service shopping cart.

Also,

When I go to the Link Add item --> As a service order in SRM, it adds the item hierarchically as below:

Line item 1  Service -- Product Category

     Line item 1.1 - Service Master 1

Also If I want to add item 1.2, it is not possible as SRM adds another hierarchical item

Line item 2 Service -- Product Category

     Line item 2.1 - Service Master 2

Is there a way to add multiple items under 1 top item in a service order.

Thanks

Kedar

hi Kedar,

Yes, it is possible to add multiple services to one Service item (top level). This is standard behavior.

We are also using Service procurement with classic scenario.

However, it is little customized -

1.     Please check that the item category 'D' is set in the system group.

2.     We have configured based on Order type - Services

3.     There must be 2 fields  available - one where you can enter top level Service item (Field - Description of Service item) and other where you can enter services (Description).

For example - Service item is Maintenance of Computers - Top level

                    Services      - Laptop maintenance

                                        -  Desktop maintenance like this

then in our case we create two line items with the same top level description.

the key point is the Description of Service item field which decides whether new Service item or Services under the main services item.

I will try to get the configuration details if required. but please check the system group & PR BAPI...

Thanks.

Hi Snehal,

Thanks for your reply.

Where in SRM , can I mark the item category 'D' in the system group , that you mentioned?

Could you kindly mention all the required config details.

My requirement is to add the services below 1 top level item

such as :

1

     1.1

     1.2

Currently SRM is adding them as below:

1

     1.1

2

     2.1

Thanks
