Hi All,
Our client is planning to implement SAP BO SPM 3.0 version. We are on BW 7.3 (ABAP stack and don't have JAVA Stack) and we do have BOBJ 4.0 systems.
My question is can we utilize BOBJ protal for SPM reports (instead of installing new JAVA Stack on BW server)?
Greetings,
You will need a Java stack.
You might find this note useful with regard to components.

Hi John,
Thanks for you reply which says JAVA Stack is mandatory and we can't use BOBJ portal for this SPM. Could you please let me know is there any important notes which need to be updated if we implement SPM 3.0 SP02. Please give us some suggestions/precautions while implementing the SPM system.
Hi Prasanna,
I would suggest that the best answer to your question is found in the install guide. It lists required notes and other helpful topics in addition to the step by step. As for sugestions on the install, I believe others with real world - on site experience - would provide better suggestions than me. I don't have the full experience of an implementation that the consulting team has.

Hi Prasanna,
You basically need the below components ABAP Stack and JAVA Stack.
ABAP Software Units
Based on your base SAP
NetWeaver ABAP/BW release, download and install the following software
components:
POASBC 100, OPMFND 300_702 and
ANAXSA 300_702 for release SAP NetWeaver ABAP/BW 702
POASBC 100, OPMFND 300_730 and
ANAXSA 300_730 for release SAP NetWeaver ABAP/BW 730
Java Software Units
POASBC-BUINW 300, SSAUI 3.0 and OPMSHARED 300 software
components for SAP NetWeaver 7.3.
If you are using SAP NW7.3 as mentioned above you will
get NW JAVA7.3 with JAX-RS Framework, BUI BI data service Façade and BICS BI
Data service adapter.
Check the Master guide for the technical landscape for more details.
Thank you
Best regards,
Amarnath
