Dear All,

Our requirement is to archive one FI document.

For that I have follow the process mention in below link.

Every thing OK. Job is also finish. But document is not archived. Even there is no log is generated

I have checked job log. It shows status "FINISHED" but when we check in SP01, request shows "Waiting" status. By clicking "Waiting" , system shows "Frontend unavailable".

Thanks in advance,

Nirav

This could be due several reasons... did any documents got selected?... Only "completed" closed documents can be archived. The archiving job has to have the right variant too..

About the spool you need to select a proper output device even if the job is not to be printed.

Check your settings and run the jobs again.

Thanks Juan.

I have checked in OBR8 and OBR7. Change life of object below document creation date.

Now I am getting "Archive file /usr/sap/DEV/put/ZPR400_20130120130122_FI cannot be opened for write program".

which permission is required for archiving. I have also try with setting folder of  oracle user.

I am running this process from windows xp.  Our SAP on Oracle runs on HP-UX.

Now I am getting "Archive file /usr/sap/DEV/put/ZPR400_20130120130122_FI cannot be opened for write program".

Well, you need to check whats your trasnfer directory in OAC0, the above path is not the standard.

You need to verify that the file is been created during the write job.

which permission is required for archiving.

Read the documentation

I have also try with setting folder of  oracle user.

I don't understand that.

I think you need to review your procedure... you cannot archive if your repository is not set correctly.

Thanks Juan.

Now document is archived. Process complited successfully

As you have suggested I have selected path as per OAC0.

Now as it is a FI document still I am able to view from FB03 and FBL1N.

Can I restrict users to view archived documents?

Thanks and Regards,

Dear Juan,

Thanks.

I am deleting the document.

See the attached log. But after deleting still entry display in   FB03 or FBL1N as "archived" document.

I have follow the below link for archiving process :

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20b94062-e43b-2c10-6c8a-ffe7a08db...

As mention in link after archiving entry will be exist in BFIT_A. But in my case archive entry not exist in table.

Thanks and Regards,

Nirav

As mention in link after archiving entry will be exist in BFIT

If the delete job completed successfully that entry should be gone from DB,

Documents states,

"Check the entries for the Account number in table BFIT_A."

"No record is found. This means the Archived records are successfully removed from the database."

Entries from table BFIT_A will only get deleted but not archived.

If you are not able to find the entries in this table then your delete job has been successful.

In the link which you have specified it only says to refer the table BFIT_A after write process but

not after delete process. So the actual reason why we are checking the table BFIT_A is to ensure

that the entries is deleted completely for the given document number.

With regards,

Tony.
