Contract Generation issue - Unable to insert Section

Hi Gurus,

I am facing a peculiar issue. I have a MS Word 2007 contract template. We dont have any clause library so we created a default clause (a blank document). When we try to generate the contract it errors out saying not able to insert a cluase file:

As I mentioned the clause file is in MS Word 2007 format and is blank page. If we remove the section (and thus the clause) the contract does get generated in Word 2007 format. But is this a bug in the system? Have anyone of you seen or faced this issue?

Thanks,
Arjun.

Hi Arjun,

I tried to recreate your issue on SAP Sourcing 9.0 system and I don't get the error message. Just to re-iterate, I created an empty clause (default.docx) added that clause to an empty section (default) and then created a contract.

Which MA template and contract did you use ? And on which version are you ?

Thanks,

Armin

We are in Sourcing 7.0. We are using a MS Word 2007 format as well. As I stated in my previous post, the same template works if converted into .doc (MS Word 2003) format.

Did you check, generate the MS Word 2007 document checkbox ?

Ofcourse I did because the system does not allow you save a .docx template without checking that box.
