Images in web dynpro

Hi WD gurus

i have used the image API in WD

i have uploaded the image into the ® src ® mimes ®Components ® vcPerW4Detail (DC),

I mentioned the source as IMG.JPG

When i try to access it through thr portal ESS --> W4 page i see the image not found text that imenetioned in the "alt" attribute fot the image API . any ideas as to what i am doing wrong here.

I am pretty sure that I gave the case sensitive name. IMG.GIF in this instance.

I found out a few things, the path on the image properties (Blank image diesplayed) shows as

http://hostname/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/ess_usbank/Components/com.sap.xss.hr.per.us.bank.detail.VcPerBankUSDetail/IMG.GIF

Is does not give the portname.

Even when i try to acess the image directly through the link by specifying the host name it syas resource not found. In this case i try to acess the mage this way

http://hostname:portname/webdynpro/resources/sap.com/ess_usbank/Components/com.sap.xss.hr.per.us.bank.detail.VcPerBankUSDetail/IMG.GIF

any ideas what the issue might be. The implementation looks pretty straight forward from the documentation, notsure what i might be missing

Hi sameer chilama,

The image name & extension are case sensitive. Check it out
