Saw an SAP document (from 2006 I think) titled "SAP Service Parts Planning or SAP APO - Making the Best Choice for your Business". It compares the two for Aftermarket parts planning. It says that SAP offers an Service Parts Planning for Aerospace and Defence package. my question is:
Is there actually an A & D version of SPP?
Does it handle GPD parts?
Because when we first discussed SPP (or some earlier version maybe) with SAP years ago, I was told it could not process GPD parts. And since we are A&D, and use GPD, it was not an option.
Now our aftermarket department, that we have installed APO for their use, are reading this document that says they shouldn't have been using APO, but should be using SPP.
Please ref. to note 729778 and the last part in the listing in help.sap.com link below - this may help.
