I am having issues with my parameter connections. When I try to parse an syntax the following error appear;
"Parse Failed: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
The TNSNAMES i have are the most recent. I do not know why it is still not working. I am sure this is a small obvious issue but can someone help me. Thanks
My DB is ORACLE10
According to my Experience, Madhumitha is right, the client is not communicating with the server, you have to configure the TNS file for the oracle client in order to stablish a connection.
Get in touch with your DBA, I'm sure he will be able to help you, its basically a copy paste of the configuration running in the oracle database server but in the client.

Yes thank you both. I had copied the TSN NAME and SQLNET and posted it in Oracle file. My connections are working well properly, thanks

Hello Umer,
Have you tested if your client machine is able to talk to the db? What is the output of tnsping?
Thanks,
Madhumitha
