Auto batch creation at order release

Hello,

In my current client we have the following requirement:

1. System should automatically create a batch number based on a customer defined logic at process order release. We have defined external Batch number for all SFG.

2. We are also confirming FG production using MFBF- repetitive manufacturing. The customer wants to have system generated batch number raised here also upon saving the confirmation. The clients needs a customer defined logic here in defining the batch number.

Are there any exits which can trigger the batch numbers in either of these cases. Any special config required for the same?

HI Aji,

Auto generation of Batch number following settings needs to be done

1.Material master – Work scheduling view activate Batch management

2.Activate batch number at material level - OMCT

3.Activate internal number range and give the number range - OMCZ

4.Production scheduling profile - Batch Management set indicator 2 - Batch number generation during order release - OPKP

Additionally, you need to assign Class and Characterisitics for Material which will be copied to all its batches. For ex. GR date will be a characterisitics

1.Create a characteristics in CT04

2.Create a class in CL02, assign the class in the classification view of the material master
