MAM 2.5 Sync Problems

Former Member

Hello all,

We're having problems to sincronize MAM 2.5 with R3 4.7. The Mobile Client (7.0) is sincronizing with our NW2004s well, but it is not being able to bring necessary information(order, notes, scenarios, etc) from R3 system.

The RFC connection is working fine.

When we try to do it, we can see the error in log (MEREP_MON) showing the message: " Return code from RFC BAPI Wrapper call: There is no existing Mobile-Asset-Management scenario to user: <USERNAME>" (Free translation. The message is actually shown in Portuguese here).

But the scenario does exists in R3 system and it's configured properly to this user.

Do you guys have any idea of what's going on?

Thanks!

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

As Julien mentioned, you have to maintain an MAM scenario for that particular user. But as you mentioned initially in the post that scenario is configured properly for the user i would suggest you to do some tests so that you can find out the cause of the problem.

Do the following tests:

On the backend: Use transaction SE37 and run MAM25_090_GETLIST and see if the specified user exists in the list with the defined scenario and make sure that in the return structure you dont have any errors related to it.

Also you can check MAM25_095_GETLIST to see if the scenario assigned to the user is present in the list.

If both are working fine then there is no problem on the backend.

Now do a check on the middleware:

Use transaction se16 on the middleware & give table name as MEREP_207 and press enter and give scenario as MAM25_090 & struct_id as TOP and execute and see if the user is present in the list. Do a similar check for scenario MAM25_095 and see if the assigned scenario is there in the list.

I doubt it will fail here because you might have not replicated your timed 2-way SyncBO's.

If that is the case, i would suggest you to replicate all your timed 2-way syncBO's and then do a sync from the client to get the data.

Siva.

Hi Carlos

Can you throw some light on

1. Compatibility of Mobile Asset management with SAP CRM-Service to track van stock/inventory

2. What are the benefits of MAM and what can it do? (provided the link below but more research to be done)

3. Can we use this in mobile CRM or with ECC only?

4. To make it work with SAP CRM, what need to done?

regards

Hello Carlos,

If you go to your backend system in Tx SPRO. Open the customizing node at:

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Maintenance and Service Processing > Mobile Asset Management > Define Scenario

and define a scenario (refer to the implementation guide). You also have to assign the scenario to your sync user in node

Configure User-Dependent Data

. While you are there you can make sure everything else is setup as you configured it.

Everything should be working fine after. Thank you,

Julien.
