Change web service port

Our current PI 7.11 provides a SAP endpoint http://devepi:8380/XISOAPAdapter/.. for MDUS (non-SAP server) to pass XML message via PI to IS-U.  Now Basis team want to stop web dispatcher and request MDUS to access message server port 8106 instead of 8380.  My question is apart from re-generate WDSL file at PI, what else should we do on PI side?  Thanks.

Donald

Hi,

If i understood your query you are using a web dispatcher for load balancing/HA of systems and the corresponding port has been changed..

Then you have to change the port in the XI Config Parameters ...

Check the SAP Note 1052984 for more info..

Hi Rajesh,

Basis team had stop the web dispatcher, MDUS changed their setup to access port 8106:

http://devepi:8106/XISOAPAdapter/.. but now encountered error 401 unauthorized from PI.

I think Basis team forgot to update something...

Hi,

Check the below sap help link on HA configurations and cross check whether all the changes done are updated with your recent port no..

This discussion move to SAP for Utilities becasue it was found that MDUS did not contain authentication information (user ID & password) after they change the endpoint URL.  That is the reason why error 401 was returned from PI.

Hi Donald,

I've moved the thread as suggested.
